Are you searching for full-time or part-time work in the field of food systems planning? At the start of each month, the APA FOOD Executive Committee will post open job and internship positions on this page. The food policy and food systems job network is often built on relationships and connections. While we will periodically post job opportunities here, we encourage you to sign up for or view the following sites or listservs when job hunting.

American Planning Association Jobs Search:
Does not require APA membership to see the employment opportunities.

Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP) Career Center:
For folks searching for academic jobs with a food planning emphasis.

Good Food Jobs: Good Food Jobs is a gastro-job search tool, designed to link people looking for meaningful food work, they post opportunities with farmers and food artisans, policy makers and purveyors, retailers and restaurateurs, economists, ecologists, and more.

North American Food Systems Network (NAFSN) Jobs Search: NAFSN regularly searches for food systems–related job opportunities from a dozen green job sites as well as COMFOODJOBS email list. This list is for professional or managerial positions only that pay at least a LIVING WAGE in your locale. Farm apprenticeships and internships are not included.

Tufts University COMFOODJOBS Listserv:
Planning jobs are sometimes posted here, but given that some who get a planning education go on to do other food systems work, this is a good listserv to sign up for.

Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Working Group (NESWAG) Food Systems Jobs:   Food systems jobs in the northeast region including: Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and Washington D.C.
